The thick layer responds to heat and pressure to exactly mould to the unique contours of the horse's back every time it's used. The high level of elasticity of the foam means that the depressed areas remain fluid to help with pressure relief and shock absorption. The silicone grip panels on the upper side of the saddle pad keep the saddle from slipping.
